House of Piano and Steinway Indonesia proudly presented the official Kick Off of the 8th Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition 2027, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of Indonesia's distinguished platforms for young pianists.

Held on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at Steinway Gallery Jakarta, the event brought together young pianists, parents, music educators, and piano enthusiasts to celebrate musical excellence and look ahead to the next generation of extraordinary talent.

The kick-off featured a special performance by Pieter Gunawan, First Prize Winner of ISYPC 2018, whose artistry offered an inspiring reflection of the journey that begins with a passion for music and continues through dedication and perseverance. The event also featured a special jury talkshow with Dr. Martin Kesuma, award-winning pianist and educator, sharing valuable perspectives on musical development, performance, and the journey of young pianists.

The Kick Off 2027 marked more than the opening of a new competition season. It was a celebration of the journey, aspirations, and possibilities that await the next generation of young pianists.

Through the performance by a former ISYPC winner and insights from an accomplished pianist and educator, the event highlighted the importance of providing young musicians with meaningful opportunities to learn, perform, and grow.
