Collection: Caitlin Wiranata

Young Steinway Artist Caitlin Wiranata has established herself as a promising young pianist, with her playing often described as sincere and deeply expressive.

Caitlin made her concerto debut at the age of 14 with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra. She has given solo recitals at leading venues including Steinway Hall Jakarta, Yong Siew Toh Concert Hall, Erasmus Huis, and Aula Sinfonia Jakarta. Among her honors are prizes at the Indonesia Steinway Youth Piano Competition, the Asian Youth Piano Competition (Hong Kong), and the Best Collaboration for the Mozart Concerto Award.

She has participated in major international music festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival, Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice, and the Yong Siew Toh Piano Academy, working closely with distinguished artists including Yoheved Kaplinsky, Pascal Rogé, Akiko Ebi, Ian Fountain, and Imogen Cooper.

Alongside her pianistic career, Caitlin is also active as a film composer, collaborating with Elwin Music on projects spanning film, musical theatre, games, and commissioned works, both nationally and internationally. Recent highlights include music for Lokapala (Southeast Asia’s first MOBA e-sports game), an Indonesian documentary on Aceh, and the upcoming Broadway-style production Pagelaran Sabang Merauke (2025).

An active chamber musician, she regularly performs with the Zephyr Piano Trio, appearing in recital series at the Angela Burgess Recital Hall and David Josefowitz Recital Hall. She is also an alumna of The Resonanz Children’s Choir and a former member of the Batavia Madrigal Singers, winners of the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing (2018, 2022).

Caitlin completed her Bachelor of Music with First-Class Honors at the Royal Academy of Music and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree, studying piano with Christopher Elton and composition with Andrea Balency-Béarn. She previously studied with Iswargia Sudarno at the Jakarta Conservatory of Music (Young Artist Program).
